Sandy Ridge Resident Arrested in Heroin Investigation

PHILIPSBURG – A Sandy Ridge resident has been taken into custody by state police for allegedly selling heroin.

 Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop G and the Narcotic Unit, began an investigation into heroin that was being distributed in the Philipsburg and Sandy Ridge areas.  During the investigation they arranged controlled buys of heroin from Brian L. Pierson, 45 of Sandy Ridge, on three different occasions.  During these buys the troopers purchased bags of heroin from Pierson, twice in Sandy Ridge and once in Osceola Mills.

Pierson has been charged with three counts of delivery of heroin, three counts of possession with the intent to deliver, three counts of possession of heroin, and criminal conspiracy to deliver heroin.

Pierson was taken into custody on April 2 in Centre Hall.  He was later arraigned by District Judge Allen Sinclair. A preliminary hearing is set for April 7.
