Dolores M. Shick, age 80 of South Eighth Street, DuBois and formerly of Falls Creek, PA died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was born on March 22, 1930 in DuBois, PA. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Zuchowski) Sierzega.
On July 22, 1950, she married Robert W. Shick. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1993.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and watching game shows and cooking shows. She enjoyed the activities at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children: Gary W. Shick of Falls Creek, PA, Mrs. Jay (Marilyn) Knox of Rowayton, CT, Ronald E. Shick and his wife, Kimberly of Falls Creek, PA, Joseph D. Shick of Reynoldsville, PA, Stephen Shick and his wife, Michelle of DuBois, PA, Deborah S. Shick of Charlottesville, VA, and Gregory P. Shick and his wife, Stephanie of DuBois, PA. She is also survived by her brothers, John “Jack” Sierzega of DuBois, PA, Ronald Sierzega of Whitehall, PA, David Sierzega of Allentown, PA and Gerard Sierzega of DuBois, PA, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John R. Shick, and infant son, Robert W. Shick, Jr., one brother, Richard Sierzega, and one sister, Geraldine Kozlosky.
Visitation will be held on April 6 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on April 7 at 1 p.m. with Fr. David Foradori and Pastor Brian O’Korn officiating from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
