Obituary Notice: Betty Mae Waroquier

Betty Mae Waroquier, 73, of Clearfield, passed away on April 3, 2010 at her home.

She was born on Oct. 4, 1936 in Clearfield, the daughter of Herman and Betty (Rex) Killion.

Mrs. Waroquier was a 1955 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School. She was a former employee of Brodys and Clearfield Bank and Trust Co., and in 1990 became owner of Clearfield Florist until 2005.

She was formerly a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Clearfield and currently was a member of West Side United Methodist Church and served on the memorial committee.

Mrs. Waroquier was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile and the Clearfield Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph L. Waroquier, Sr., of Clearfield, whom she married on May 10, 1958 at West Side United Methodist Church by Rev. Earl N. Rowe, two sons; Joseph L. Waroquier, Jr., and his wife Michelle of Clearfield and Gary V. Waroquier and his wife Cheryl of Curwensville, four grandsons; Joseph M. Waroquier, Steven A.. Waroquier, Shane M. Waroquier and Gregory D. Waroquier, three great grandchildren; Logan M. Waroquier, Jaden T. Waroquier and Jalynn M. Waroquier, a brother, Paul Killion and his wife Terry of Hyde, a brother in law, Raymond M. Shaw and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark A. Waroquier, a grandson, Gary T. “GT” Waroquier, two brothers; Clifford and Richard Killion and a sister, Anna Shaw.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 6 at the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield with Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.

Friends will be recieved at the West Side United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m.

The family suggests that memorial contibutions be made to the charity of the donors choice.
