Kathryn P. Dixon, 108 of West Decatur, passed away on March 24, 2010 at the Windy Hill Village.
Born Nov. 1, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Kathryn (Gomer) Jones.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Philipsburg and was retired from the former Rush Consolidated School as a cafeteria worker.
On Nov. 1, 1921 she married John a Dixon in Osceola Mills. He passed away on Nov. 12, 1973.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Florence Gearhart and Catherine McMahon Chihon, sisters Emma Chincharik and Bernice Hughes and brothers Joseph, John and Anthony Jones.
She is survived by grandchildren Jack Gearhart, Jim Gearhart, Leroy Disshon, Dennis Disshon, Patricia Johnson, John McMahon and Jerry McMahon; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by daughter Charlotte Disshon of Philipsburg.
Services will be held on March 27 at 11 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Mark Thumma officiating. Burial will be at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
