DUBOIS – Officials have ruled a fire that occurred in Sandy Township on Wednesday was an act of arson.
According to the Sandy Township Fire Department a state police fire marshal, K-9 unit and the fire department and Sandy Township Police Department investigated the scene at 129 Hill Street.
The incident is now under the investigation by the STPD.
Disaster response volunteers from the DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross also responded while firefighers battled the blaze. Volunteers served refreshments to the firefighters and are working with the victims to see that their immediate needs are being met.
