Robert D. Carney, Sr. age 85, of South 8 Street, formerly of Green Glen Drive in DuBois, died on March 23 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1924 in Emeigh Run, PA. He was the son of the late William & Mary (Mowrey) Carney.
He was married to Ann M. (Brosky) Carney for 65 years. She survives and lives in DuBois, PA.
He worked as a Foreman at Rockwell International Manufacturing for 27 years and retired from Symmco in Sykesville, PA.
He is survived by his children, Roberta A. “Robynn” Camuso of DuBois, PA, Renee D. Hill of Newport Rithey, FL, R. Scott Carney of St. College, PA, Robert D. Carney, Jr. of Reynoldsville, PA, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
A private family visitation will be held.
A funeral service will be held at on March 26 at 2 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
