Fugitive of the Week: Karen L. Frantz

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 22.

Shaw Identified the Fugitive as Karen L. Frantz, age 36, of Ohio Street, Reynoldsville. Shaw stated that Frantz is a Fugitive on two separate cases where Frantz failed to appear for criminal call.

On Oct. 28, 2005 Corporal William Meko, of the Pennsylvania State Police Punxsutawney Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Frantz with: 1) possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, heroin, and 2) possession of a controlled substance, heroin.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Meko states that at approximately 8:45 p.m. on June 3, 2005, Frantz sold twenty bundles of Heroin to an undercover officer for the amount of $600.00. Frantz appeared for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 5, 2005 and waived the charges to court. Frantz was placed on supervised bail. On May 22, 2007, Frantz failed to appear for criminal call and a bench warrant for her arrest was issued.

In a separate criminal complaint, also filed on Oct. 28, 2005, Frantz was again charged by Meko with: 1) possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, heroin, and 2) ossession of a controlled substance, heroin.

An affidavit of probable cause, filed by Meko, states that at approximatlet11:24 a.m. on June 29, 2005, Frantz sold five wax packets of heroin to an undercover officer for the amount of $180.00.

Frantz appeared for a Preliminary Hearing on Dec. 5, 2005, and waived the charges to court. Frantz was placed on supervised bail. On May 22, 2007, Frantz failed to appear for criminal call and a bench warrant for her arrest was issued.
