CLEARFIELD – An as-of-now unidentified man has been taken into custody by the Lawrence Township Police Department for allegedly attempting to run a person outside of Mojo’s in Clearfield.
Police responded to the scene after receiving a call that someone had hit the Mojo’s building with a vehicle. The caller told police that the driver of the vehicle was trying to run over someone. Officers were told that the vehicle was leaving the scene. A description and the driver, and his name, were obtained by officers.
Police were able to locate the vehicle in Lawrence Park Village. The vehicle had struck nearby guide rails. Officers apprehended the driver a short distance from the vehicle.
According to police the man will be arraigned at some point today on charges of criminal attempt to commit aggravated assault, terroristic threats, DUI and related charges. He is currently being held in Clearfield County Jail.
