PIKE TOWNSHIP – A Curwensville child was airlifted to Danville following a dirt bike accident on Wednesday.
According to the state police in Clearfield, the 12-year-old Curwensville resident was operating his dirt bike on Peters Road. Police said he lost control of his bike on a curve, traveled off the road and struck a tree. He suffered major injuries.
According to police the 12-year-old was wearing his helmet.
He was taken by ambulance to Clearfield Hospital where he was then flown to Geisinger Medical Center.
