Obituary Notice: David A. DuFour

David Andrew DuFour, 63, of Tennessee, passed away early Saturday morning March 13, at the home of his brother Timothy at S. B. Elliot State Park Penfield RD.

Born Aug. 20, 1946 in Grampian, he was the son of Lewis and Catherine (Kennedy) DuFour.  Mr. DuFour  had been employed as an equipment operator and a welder in the fabrication/construction industry.  He was a naval veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving is a son David A. DuFour Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Columbus, OH, a daughter Laura DuFour of Ohio, and his stepmother Joyce (Smeal) DuFour Hess of Olanta.

Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  George Edward DuFour and his wife Ann of Holiday, TN, Timothy DuFour and his wife Judy of Penfield RD, Karen Carter and her husband Albert of Curwensville, Kenneth DuFour and his wife Ruby of MT, Darlene Livergood and her husband Bradley of Eden, and Shirley Brooks and her husband Robert of Ridgway.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Mr. DuFour will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on March 17 at Noon with the Reverend James D. Witherington Jr., Spiritual Care Coordinator for Aseracare Hospice, Officiating.  Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian RD.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on March 16 from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 11 a.m.until time of services.

Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
