- Police are advising drivers that a sobriety check will take place within Clearfield County during the month of April. This sobriety check will be on roadways within Clearfield County that have high incidences of alcohol related crashes.
- Police are investigating an incident of rape and aggravated assault that occurred in Winburne in Cooper Township. The incident involves a 13-year old girl and a 34-year old man. The police are being assisted in this investigation by Clearfield County Children and Youth Services.
- Police are investigating an incident of possession that occurred on Interstate 80 in Bradford Township. In a traffic stop for speeding, police consensually searched the vehicle of a Fountain Hill resident and found approximately 15 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Charges were filed in front of 46-3-03.
- Police are investigating an incident of indecent assault that occurred in Karthaus that involved a 6-year old girl and a 43-year old man.
- Police reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred on state Highway 53 that involved a 2001 GMC Yukon and a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM. Meagan Rowles, 19 of Flinton, was driving the 1999 Pontiac Grand AM in a northbound direction on state Highway 53. The driver of the GMC Yukon was traveling south. Rowles made a left turn onto state Route 879 and subsequently hit the GMC Yukon. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Rowles was cited for failing to yield to the other vehicle.
