WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. –Tops Friendly Markets, a leading full-service grocery retailer in Western New York, Central New York, including Rochester, and Northwestern Pennsylvania, announced today that as part of its review process of the acquisition of a majority of Penn Traffic assets, the BiLo store in Philipsburg, PA will close effective April 10.
Among several criteria used in the evaluation process have been economic viability, current store condition, and store location within the geographic footprint for Tops. Management and UFCW Local 23 will be working together over the next few days to address issues including re-employment.
