Ralph R. Lowell, age 97, of 64 Baker Road, DuBois, PA died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1912 in Penfield, PA. He was the son of Thomas J. and Ella (Overturf) Lowell.
On August 1, 1936, he married Dorothy A. Lowell. She preceded him in death on November 3, 2005.
He was an assistant to funeral directors at the former H. Moore Funeral Home in DuBois, PA, Lynch Funeral Home in St. Marys, PA and Nicholson Funeral Home in Clearfield, PA.
He was a member of West Side United Methodist Church in Clearfield, PA and a member of “Old Time Players” Acting Group.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosalie M. Bloom of DuBois, PA and Loretta Ann Butler of DuBois, PA and one son, James R. Lowell of Mechanicsburg, PA, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ken T. Lowell and Horace H. Lowell.
There will be no public visitation.
