CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 8, 2010.
Shaw Identified the Fugitive as Larry Ray Rubly, age 37, of Brown Street, Clearfield.
Shaw stated that Rubly is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on Jan. 28. On July 16, 2009, Officer Nathan Curry of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint charging Rubly with: possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (felony), possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct (misdemeanor).
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Curry states that police were called to a residence on Nichols Street in Clearfield Borough for a noise complaint. Upon arrival, Curry identified a female involved in a verbal altercation with Rubly. The female reported that Rubly took her car keys and threw them. Officers then located Rubly carrying a red backpack. Upon speaking with Rubly, Officers located 287 grams of marijuana in the backpack
A Preliminary Hearing was held on July 22, 2009, at which time Rubly waived the charges to court. Rubly was scheduled to appear for Criminal Call and failed to appear. A bench warrant has been issued for Rubly’s arrest.
