CLEARFIELD – As the result of a cooperative investigation between the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police Troop C Vice Unit, a fugitive from justice wanted in Clearfield County has been apprehended in the state of Florida.

Heather M. Peters was arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police in 2006 after she allegedly sold crack cocaine to an undercover state trooper in Sandy Township on four occasions. Following her arrest Peters was released on supervised bail when she absconded and warrants were issued for her arrest.

Leads developed in the investigation indicated that Peters had fled to Quincy, FL and the authorities were notified. Through the investigation conducted by the Florida authorities Peters was arrested on March 6.

Peters remains incarcerated in Florida and the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office is initiating proceedings to have Peters extradited back to Clearfield County where she will face additional charges relative to her flight.
