CLEARFIELD – A special Queen’s for Kids charity event is coming to the Clearfield area later in March.

Fair Queen Rachel Syktich is excited to announce that on March 21, at the Clearfield Area High School gymnasium, a special basketball game will take place. On one side, a group of Queen’s for Kids Area All-Stars will be pitted against a team of Pittsburgh Steelers, who have yet to be announced.

The game will consist four, eight-minute periods, each with a half-time break in which the Steelers players will sign autographs at tables in the lobby. The Queen’s Committee will conduct a 50/50 as well as a raffle for numerous Steelers items, some of which will be autographed.

The Fair Queen and her court will be in attendance to cheer on the Queen’s for Kids Area All-Stars and greet the public. They cordially invite the public to come out and support them while enjoying a truly wholesome family afternoon.

Tickets and seating are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ticket locations are in Clearfield at the Clearfield County Fair office, Jim’s Sports Center, Zalno Jewelers and Swales Upholstery. Other locations include Champions Choice in Curwensville and in DuBois at Syktich Appliance and DuBois Business College.

Ticket prices were kept to a minimum of $7. This was made possible through the generous donations of several major sponsors comprising of: Clearfield County Economic Development Corporation, Little Pine Resources, DuBois Business College, DMS Environmental Services of Bellefonte, WOKW, Champions Choice and Action Graphics. According to organizers, without their support, it would not have been possible to provide this quality entertainment at an affordable price.
