Hospice Volunteer in DuBois Area
Many families just need a volunteer to sit with their family member in Hospice for a couple hours so they can run some errands. Perhaps you have a special talent you could share with the patient. In this position, volunteers stay with clients, read to clients, and add quality to a Hospice patient’s life. Receive the benefit of appreciation and of knowing you have helped others by being a member of Hospice.
You may be thinking that you would like to help the Hospice program, but working directly with patients may be difficult for you. In this case, the Hospice program can use your help setting up events, working on fun projects like fund raisers, and assisting in many other Hospice projects throughout the county. Learn more about this special volunteer opportunity and how to become involved as a member of the Hospice team. You can reach the Volunteer Center at 765-1398 or 1-800-446-5935.
The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County is sponsored as a community outreach effort of Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc, and is funded through the Area Agency on Aging, national and state grants, and local contributions.
