PHILIPSBURG – The first photo session for the 2011 Clearfield County SPCA calendar contest is a wrap and the next session is completely booked but plenty of opportunities remain to make your pet a star.
Eight dogs posed for their portraits at Sunday’s photo shoot at the shelter with photographer David Fulesday, five of them first time participants in the contest, which is the organization’s largest fundraiser.
The Feb. 21 session with Paul Dale at Waggin’ Trains in Clearfieldis filled but, on Feb. 28, Chris Evans will be at the shelter and Fulesday will be at the Adrian Sandy firehall in DuBois, both from 1:30-4:30 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
The remaining schedule is:
March 6 – Wiscoy Pet Supply in State College with Dale, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Call 231-8711 to make an appointment.
March 7 – SPCA shelter with Evans, 1:30-4:30 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
March 14 – SPCA shelter with Fulesday, 1:30-4:30 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Waggin’ Trains, Clearfield, with Dale, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Call 765-0123 to make an appointment.
Each photographer offers various sizes of prints and other personalized items, such as magnets, buttons and keychains.
For $10, participants receive an 8×10 portrait and collection can with a smaller photo attached.
