Marian G. “Peg” Borger, 85, of Clearfield passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Mahaffey.
Mrs Borger was born on March 7, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA.
She retired from DuPont / Berg Electronics and Wal Mart Supercenter and had also worked for several area retail stores.
Mrs Borger was afffiliated with the Bells Landing Baptist Church.
She is best remembered by her strong work ethic, her high heels, and friendly smile.
Mrs. Borger is survived by a daughter, Babe G. Bell-Shaw and her husband, T. Michael of Mahaffey, five grandchildren: Bridget A. Conklin and her husband Brent, Anthony J. Borger and his wife Tia, Gretchen M. Fuller and her husband Ralph, Michael T. Bell and Tucker S. Bell, seven great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Andrea Borger, dear friends; Linda Little and Jane Brown and her beloved dog, Buttons and cat, Tabby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd M. “Pete” Borger, two sons; Gary L. Borger and Gregg M. Borger, a daughter, Bridget A. Borger and a grandson, Gregg L. Borger.
Funeral services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will be in Askey Cemetery, Snow Shoe.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. and on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of services.
