CURWENSVILLE – Cancellation of Curwensville Area High School classes because of the wintry weather Thursday meant another postponement for the wrestling squad and the girls basketball team.
Both events, the wrestling match at Clarion and the home basketball game with Sheffield, originally were scheduled for Tuesday and now are booked for Thursday, Feb. 18, athletic director Allen Leigey announced.
He noted what will be the Golden Tide matmen’s final dual meet will start at 6 p.m. because Clarion also will wrestle Johnsonburg that night.
Curwensville (2-15) will host Clearfield (14-1) Tuesday, and Leigey reminded fans that the match will start at 7 p.m.
Instead of wrestling the prelim, the Bison and Golden Tide junior high squads will square off in a 1:45 p.m. assembly match in Patton Hall, Leigey noted.
The Lady Tide (2-15) is slated to travel to Kane (16-4) for a non-league game Friday night.
