James M. Gonder age 85 of Osceola Mills passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Ridgeview Elder Care, Curwensville.
Born September 26, 1924 he was the son of the late Owen and Cora Gonder.
He was of the United Methodist faith.
He was a graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School and the Williamsport Tech and retired as a cost analyst of Airco Speer Carbon, Niagra Falls, NY.
He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
In 1947 he wed Gwendolyn (Crawford) Gonder who preceded him in death in 2003.
He is survived by a sister, Flo E. Gross of York and a brother, Lee Gonder of Muncy.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Herman and Mildred Fravel and four brothers, Harold, Owen, Merle and Ivan Gonder.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills with the Rev. Dr. Ray D. Fravel officiating.
Friends will be received on Saturday at 10 a.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
