Participants Needed for ‘Touch of Taste’ Event

PHILIPSBURG – The Philipsburg Main Street Program is seeking restaurant and other food vendors to participate in our “Touch of Taste” event. Touch of Taste will be held on April 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Philipsburg VFW, 1 W Spruce Street in Historic Downtown Philipsburg.

The public is invited to attend the Touch of Taste event and sample food from area restaurants, bakeries, markets, caterers, and specialty food shops. There is no charge for vendors participating in the event. Awards will be given in numerous categories including Best Side Dish, Best Appetizer, Best Main Course, and Best Overall. The goal is to showcase local food businesses and give the public the opportunity to become aware of local food offerings. We want people in the area to learn more about our local restaurants and we want you to be one of them; join us and showcase your business! Vendors should be aware that if you are distributing prepared foods, you must have liability insurance and the appropriate licenses as required by federal, state, county, and/or local government.

Tickets for this event are on sale now, $10 per person/$5 under age 12 if purchased in advance; at the door $15 per person/$10 under age 5. If you are interested in becoming a vendor or purchasing tickets please contact Emily at 814-342-2260 or email emily@mvedp.org.
