CLEARFIELD – The cost of health insurance is going up for Clearfield Borough employees. Leslie Stott, borough operations manager, stated at Thursday evening’s meeting that they will see a 12.1 percent increase in their insurance. The increase will be in effect on April 1.
Workers compensation also went up. There will be a 10 percent increase to workers compensation, which was only budgeted for 6 percent. There are two claims currently open which may account for such a high increase. Stott said they are going to try to get the percentage down. The increase for workers compensation will take place in the very near future.
