DuBois ARC Assists Fire Victims, Emergency Responders

DUBOIS – The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross responded a house fire on West Weber Avenue in DuBois Tuesday afternoon. Two separate families were left affected by the incident. As fire crews put out the flames, Red Cross volunteers served coffee and water to firefighters while other volunteers worked with the families to provide immediate needs of food and clothing. According to Marianne Konior, Chapter Board chairperson and Disaster Response volunteer, the chapter expended additional money for today’s incident. That amount will increase as these families, as well as those affected from the Dec. 18 fire, continue the recovery process.

Financial donations to assist the DuBois Chapter to continue to meet the needs of these and future disaster victims, are appreciated.
