More Than 4 Million Doses of H1N1 Vaccine Allocated to PA Since Start of Vaccination Effort

HARRISBURG – The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, has allocated a total of 4,003,100 doses of H1N1 flu vaccine to Pennsylvania to date, said the state Department of Health.

The vaccine has been distributed to 2,405 certified providers, local health departments, and state health centers.

The Department of Health will offer H1N1 vaccination clinics at 33 locations statewide on Jan. 8 and 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The vaccine will be offered at no charge.

Appointments are required to attend the clinics. Appointments may be made 24 hours a day online under “What’s Hot.” Appointments also may be made by calling 1-877-PA HEALTH (1-877-724-3258), Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
