Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups cooked, mashed yams or sweet potatoes (6 potatoes aprox)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Topping

1/2 stick margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2-1 cup chopped walnuts

Mix first ingredients together until well blended. Pour into a buttered baking dish, approx. 10\’ square.  Mix topping ingredients until crumbly, as though for a pie crust, and sprinkle over potatoes.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Tips:

Use real sweet potatoes if you have the time it taste so much better than the canned yams.
