CLEARFIELD – A state police fire marshal ruled that a Lawrence Township fire that destroyed a garage and vehicles was accidental in nature.
State police in Clearfield and a state police fire marshal assited the Glen Richey Fire Company in investigating the fire that occurred at a garage belonging to Theodore and Mary Haney of Clearfield. The garage was destroyed by the fire, as well as, three vehicles that were in the garage and a Ford backhoe that was next to the garage.
The investigation revealed that the fire originated above the garage boiler and was an accident. Damage is estimated at about $100,000.
