DUBOIS – Sandy Township residents will see a tax increase in 2010.
On Monday the Sandy Township Supervisors approved the 2010 budget, which included a .5 mill tax increase. That money will be used for general government purposes. According to a sheet given to members of the press at the meeting, the tax increase is primarily driven contractual obligations, the costs of the new county-wide EIT TCC and the ongoing Treasure Lake borough issue.
The total budget for the township, including the municipal authority total, is $9,444,750.
