CLEARFIELD – On Dec. 5 the Clearfield Elks and the Clearfield Fire Department are teaming up to bring the annual Clearfield Elks Christmas Parade to town.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. with a breakfast with Santa at the Ag Building at the Clearfield Fair Grounds. There will be scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage available to all. Breakfast is free for children ages 12 and under. The cost for adults is $5. The breakfast is hosted by the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department and lasts until 11 a.m.
At around 11:45 a.m. Santa will ride the rails and arrive at West Market Street. At 12 p.m. parade-goers are encouraged to look for Santa and Mrs. Claus on a hovercraft during the parade. After the parade Santa will be handing out Christmas stockings at the Elks. Kids will be provided with hot dogs and cocoa ($2 for adults). Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture the memories.
The event wraps up on Dec. 6 with a free matinee at the Ritz Theatre with the ‘Polar Express.’ All children attending will receive a free small popcorn and soda pop. The movie will be hosted by the Clearfield Elks and CNB Bank.
The Clearfield Elks and the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the town of Clearfield for its support with this event.
