CLEARFIELD – R. Denning Gearhart, board president, was recognized for his years of service on the Clearfield Area School District Board of Director’s during his last meeting Monday night.
“He has been a great help in many ways. He has helped me since I came on board in January,” said Superintendent Richard C. Makin.
Makin said that Gearhart brought “level headedness” to situations, and it was also evident in his advice.
“It has been a pleasure to work with him. We appreciate all he has done during his tenure,” he said.
He said they were grateful to Gearhart’s dedication to the board, faculty and students.
In his farewell, Gearhart said he always looked forward to serving the district.
“I think that we’ve been able to work as one. I hope you all continue to work toward that,” he said.
Gearhart served on the board for four years.
