Clearfield Borough Council to Consider Courtesy Parking

CLEARFIELD – Courtesy parking appears to be making its yearly return to Clearfield Borough. On Thursday Clearfield Borough Council’s public safety committee approved recommending to council the implementation of courtesy parking over the holidays.

According to a prior article the measure is for a courtesy parking pass in lieu of one parking meter violation. This means that when the meter reader comes around and sees that a parked vehicle is in violation of an expired meter, a courtesy parking pass will be issued. This gives the person extra time to either finish their business downtown or place money in the meter before the meter reader makes another pass.

The proposed time period for courtesy parking this is runs from Nov. 27 through Dec. 28. Council will vote on the issue at next week’s regular meeting.
