Sinnemahoning State Park to Feature Canadian-American Sledders Dry Land Event

AUSTIN – Come join the fun at Sinnemahoning State Park as we host our 4th annual Dry-Land event on Oct. 31. The day will include Canine-Cross, Bike-Joring, Cart Races, Geo-caching, an opportunity to try your hand at Matchless Fire-Making, children’s craft program, a “Mushing 101”program, food concessions and vendors, a “Campfire Tales” program, and much more, all accompanied by lots of barking and tail-wagging. The fun starts at 9:00 AM. Spectator areas will be open along the trails and staging area. Hot food and refreshments will be available to keep away the chill! For more information, call 814-647-8401

9:30 a.m. – Races start at 40 Maples Area

10:00 a.m. – “Pine Cone Bird Feeders” – Pavilion #1

11:00 a.m. – “All About Geo-Caching” – Pavilion #2

12:00 p.m. – “Matchless Fire-Starting” – Pavilion #1

1:00 p.m. – “Outdoor Survival Skills” – Mountaineer Search and Rescue display area

2:00 p.m. – Races conclude for the day.

2:00 p.m. – “Mushing 101” presentation – Pavilion #2

3:00 p.m. – “Pine Cone Bird Feeders” – Pavilion #1

Nov. 1

9:30 a.m. – Races start – Start and Finish Line at 40 Maples Area

2:00 p.m. – Races conclude

2:30 p.m. – Race results and Awards presentation

Food concessions and vendors will be open in the Forty Maples Day-Use area throughout the weekend.
