Wilsoncroft Waives Hearing in Contraband Case

CLEARFIELD – A 24-year-old Clearfield woman who has been accused of possessing contraband while incarcerated waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Kristen Wilsoncroft, 24 of Clearfield, was charged with contraband; two counts of possession of a controlled substance contraband by inmate prohibited; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 27, the deputy warden was informed Wilsoncroft has smuggled a controlled substance into the jail. Before the prison discipline board and local authorities, she admitted to smuggling in Suboxone. She also admitted that some of the Schedule III drug was given to another inmate in return for previously gained contraband.

In court documents, police indicated that on July 28, Wilsoncroft’s cell at the Clearfield County Jail was searched after personnel notification of the additional contraband. They stated that they found a Xanax pill – a schedule IV drug. She explained it was given to her by an inmate.
