Scotto Makes Donation to Emergency Responders

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield emergency responders have received $2,100 courtesy of Tony Scotto.

The Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department, Clearfield Emergency Medical Service and Clearfield Borough Police Department each received $700 as part of the third yearly 9-11 inspired donation.

“I do this in memory of my classmates who perished in 9-11,” said Scotto, owner of Scotto’s Pizza and candidate for County Controller.

Seven classmates of Scotto’s from Seton Hall University died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attack. Since 2006, Scotto has donated his Sept. 11 proceeds to local emergency services. The first year went to the fire department’s wards. Last and this year, it was split between the fire department, police department and EMS.

“I’m proud to donate this money to our emergency services as they put their lives on the line for us,” said Scotto.

According to Scotto, over the last three years, he has donated $6,900.
