Bald Eagle Area (0-5) at Clearfield (3-2)

Last week the Bisons got back on track and got a much needed win against Lewistown to improve their record to a game over .500.  With 0-5 Bald Eagle Area coming to town the Bisons are looking to put another notch another under the win column.

Bald Eagle is lead by Junior quarterback Justin Taylor and Senior running back Jon Gingrich.  Taylor has amassed over 500 yards through the air this season, while the 6\’2 230 pound Gingrich has over 200 yards on the ground and is also the team\’s leading receiver.

Gingrich\’s size could pose some problems for the Bison defense as Clearfield doesn\’t have as much size as it has in years past.  In all Bald Eagle has 14 players over 230 on their roster, which could spell trouble for the Bisons.

Clearfield\’s air assault will look to get back on track this week after a stagnant performance in the rain against Lewistown.  Senior wideout Trey Campman was held to only one reception for 11 yards last week, his lowest total since his sophomore season.  Sophomore quarterback Curtis Frye struggled with a wet ball and was unable to top the 100 yard mark for the first time all season.  Junior running back Derek Morgan, however, picked up the slack toting the ball for over 150 yards and three scores.  In order for the out-sized Bisons to come away with a win Friday night they are going to need to get the passing game on track and Frye will need to find receivers Andrew Redden, Derek Danver, and Campman early and often.

The game is scheduled for 7 P.M.  with Homecoming festivities planned for half time.
