Clearfield Fall Baseball Teams Tops P-O 7-2

OSCEOLA MILLS – The Clearfield Fall Baseball Team got back on the winning track Saturday, toppling host Philipsburg 7-2 in a game called in the top of the seventh inning because of rain.
 
Trevor Flanagan registered his second win in four decisions with a complete-game six-hitter highlighted by 11 strikeouts. He gave up two walks and two earned runs.
 
Clearfield scored all of its runs off Greg Belko, who struck out four and gave up four hits and eight walks in four innings. Five of the runs were earned.
 
Justyn Knepp and Flanagan drove in two runs apiece, while Jarrett Fulmer scored three times for manager Sid Lansberry\’s club, which broke the game open with five runs in the fourth inning for a 7-1 bulge.
 
Brandon Myers pitched two shutout innings for Philipsburg, fanning two while walking two and allowing only one hit.
 
Belko had two hits and an RBI.
 
Clearfield (4-6) will host Moshannon Valley Saturday and Brookville Sunday in 1 p.m. double-headers.
