LTE: Impressed by Legal Eagles

Recently, I have been asked to speak to the Legal Eagles program participants concerning both my business of photography and the great possibilities/rewards that photography brings to those who participate in this art form.

I did some research into the program and learned way more than I even knew about Legal Eagles. At a time when a lot of young people are faced with a lack of self esteem, questions about what path their lives can or will take and the normal challenges of maturing in a world that seems more upside down than it is right side up, this program looks to guide its participants toward a path to success. It amazed me that 2,500 students have participated in this program!!!! Students that started in this program eight years ago are graduating from high school this year!

The best part? This is a FREE program to both the schools/organizations that host it, as well as the young people who participate in Legal Eagles! Program developer Mark Falvo and those who facilitate and speak to the students receive no financial benefits as a result of their participation! The businesses who are sponsors of the Legal Eagles program is mind blowing in itself!

My understanding is that it may be in schools in other counties in the state soon! Schools in McKean and Warren counties may be a part of Legal Eagles shortly!

Any school district not taking advantage of a great program like this is missing a chance to make a difference in the lives of the students!

In this day and age, with school district and community budgets being tested, stressed, pushed, pulled and slashed, Legal Eagles is a program that belongs in our local schools! It doesn’t take a tax increase, a voter referendum or a budget bill to start the ball rolling. Just a simple YES will do!

I’m honored to be asked to speak to the Legal Eagles and look forward to participating in the program!
