CLEARFIELD – On Friday night members of the Clearfield Borough Police Department took a man into custody after an incident with a gun.
According to the report police were asked to check on the welfare of the North Second Street man after he reportedly threatened to harm himself. Police responded and discovered through an open window a rifle case had been opened and the rifle was missing.
Police made contact with the man on an above-ground deck. Police reported that he disobeyed orders and attempted to reach for the rifle. Officers were able to use a taser and took the man into custody.
