On Friday night Clearfield will look to continue it\’s impressive aerial attack as they travel to Lewistown to take on the Indian Valley Warriors.
Last week Indian Valley was dumped by the visiting Central Dragons. With Starting quarterback Will Long out with an injury the Warrior offense struggled, managing only one score on the night and having trouble moving the ball across midfield. Running back Aaron Reed scored the lone touchdown for the Warriors from a pass from backup quarterback Cody Heane.
The Bisons put together a huge victory last week against rival P-O with yet another impressive start by sophomore quarterback Curtis Frye. Frye threw for over 290 yards and connected with senior wideout Trey Campman eight times for 190 yards, the biggest play of the night coming on a 93 touchdown pass from Frye to Campman. Junior Derek Danver also had a big game hauling in three passes for over 70 yards and a score.
The Bison defense put on a masterful display last week by forcing five Mountie turnovers; with senior defensive tackle Andre Buck leading the charge with two sacks and a forced fumble.
The Bisons will have to play yet another complete game on both sides of the ball as they seek their second win of the season and look to advance in the Mountain Athletic Conference Mount Nittany Division standings.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 P.M.
Notes: According to MaxPreps.com Curtis Frye\’s 486 passing yards through the first two contests is ranked the second highest total in the state, while Campman\’s receiving totals are enough to rank him second as well….the Bisons will look for their fifth straight win over Indian Valley…
