CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Supervisors opened bids for its multi-million dollar Phase II Sewer Project on Tuesday night.
Lawrence Township’s Phase II consists of Hyde, Plymptonville, Martin Street, Susquehanna Terrace, Golden Rod and Kerr Addition.
A total of eight bids were receive, and are as follows:
-Continental Construction Inc.: $3,592,769
-Glenn Johnston Inc.: $3,098,998
-Greenland Construction: $2,774,270
-Kukurin Contracting Inc.: $$3,477,774
-Maxwell Trucking & Excavating: $2,545,372.15
-Lumadue Excavating: $3,015,918
-D&M contracting Inc.: $3,280,719
-R.H. Bailey: $2,764,456
LT Supervisor Chairman Bill Lawhead said he was pleased at where the bids came in at. The project was slated to cost around $3.5 million.
The supervisors voted and approved awarding the bid to the lowest responsible bidder. The bids are now under review by the township engineer and solicitor.
