DUBOIS – The DuBois Chapter of the American Red Cross announced the winner of the Penn State vs. Ohio State football ticket raffle this morning. Holly Strength of Treasure Lake won two tickets to the Nov. 7 game at Beaver Stadium where the Penn State Nittany Lions will play host to the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Big Ten Championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl could be decided by the outcome of this game.
“I never win anything”, said an excited Strength. Strength, a Penn State fan, plans to enjoy the game with a friend.
Bob Newell, DuBois Chapter Executive Director, explained that the tickets where donated to the chapter to be used for raising funds for the Chapter. “Fundraising is a real challenge during these times. Being able to give away tickets to a great game is as exciting for us as it is for the winner.”
Chances for the raffle were available at the Chapter office, Uniformity, Friendly’s Bar and Grill, DuBois Ink and Toners, Lauren’s Barbershop, Studio 55, and The Penfield Fireman’s Club. A number of volunteers also sold chances.
