JORDAN TOWNSHIP – The Clearfield-based State Police reported arson at 12:15 a.m. Saturday in Jordan Township, Clearfield County.
According to the police report, a fire was “maliciously set” to the contents of a barn that was located on a Hammer Road property. Police stated that the barn contained machinery, equipment and stored hay. They stated that all were completely destroyed, and damage was estimated at $250,000 at this time.
Police indicated that the barn was owned by Betty Young, of Irvona. They said that its contents, however, were owned by Melvin Curry, also of Irvona.
