Trial Under Way for DuBois Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Girls

CLEARFIELD – The trial for a DuBois man accused of numerous sex crimes got under way this morning at the Clearfield County Courthouse.

Lewis C. Maines Jr. faces multiple counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault.

Three girls took the stand and testified that Maines touched their vaginas or vaginal areas; two of the girls testified that Maines touched them with a vibrating sexual aid. Two of the girls said that Maines told them not to tell their mother.

Maines took the stand in his defense prior to the lunch break and denied touching the girls inappropriately.
