PA Central Mountains Region Antique and Custom Auto Show Set for Sunday

CLEARFIELD – PA Central Mountains Region Antique and Custom Auto Show will be held rain or shine this Sunday at the Driving Park in Clearfield.

Antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles may compete for trophies in 17 classes, with three trophies to be awarded per class. Vehicles will be parked in classes and judged by the owners, except Class K, which will be judged by the club.

Hosting club members’ cars will not be judged and are ineligible to win trophies. The registration fee to show a vehicle is $5. Admission and parking are free to the public.

Entertainment will be provided by D & J Rocks, with music of the 1950s and 1960s. A variety of food vendors are expected to be in place and an indoor and outdoor flea market is planned.

Registration will be open from 9 a.m. until noon. Each registered vehicle must contain a working fire extinguisher. Trophy presentations will begin at 3 p.m.

In addition, this year’s raffle features a Vizio 42-inch LCD Full HD TV, a Phillips Blu-Ray Disc Player and a $100 gas card. Door prize and 50-50 tickets will also be offered for sale.

Inc.; Class B, production cars 1932-42, Larry’s Saw Shop; Class C, production cars 1943-54, Strattan Automotive Inc.; Class D, production cars 1955-59, Moyer’s Auto Body; Class E, production cars 1960-67, CARS Paint and Body; Class F, production cars 1968-75, Country Auto Sales; Class G, production cars 1976-84, ProFormance Fuel Injection and Swisher Concrete Products; Class H, Production cars 1985-94, Hunter’s Garage; Class I, production commercial to 1994, C Classic Dodge Chrysler; Class J, two-seater sports cars to 1994, Swisher Contracting Inc. and Rob Bozovich State Farm Insurance; Class K, most original unrestored 1900-84, Ethan’s Cafe; Class L, street rod through 1948, Bob Boob Garage Inc.; Class M, modified cars 1949-69, Kim Kesner Esq. and H.R. Woolridge Co./Dimeling and Shrot Insurance; Class N, modified cars 1970-94, Bud’s Electric Service Inc.; Class O, all modified trucks/vans to 1994, Ogden Legacy Inc. Insurance; Class P, American brand motorcycles, all years to present, Dinger’s Grand Slam Grille and Groggery and Class Q, foreign brand motorcycles, all years to present, Catalano Cycle Center Inc.

In addition to the class trophies, the following trophies, with their sponsors, also will be presented: Oldest Vehicle, Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Inc.; People’s Choice, Siegel Engraving Inc.; President’s Trophy, Starr Vineyard and Winery; and the Mayor’s Trophy, Clearfield Mayor Patty Gilliland. The Ross Family will provide the A.J. Ross Sr. Memorial Post-War Vehicle Award. The owner of each registered vehicle will receive a dash plaque and a goodie bag while supplies last.
