Watershed Festival, Community Celebration Coming to Osceola Mills

OSCEOLA MILLS – The annual Moshannon Creek Watershed Festival and the Osceola Mills Community Picnic will be held on August 23 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Osceola Mills Recreation Park. The Recreation Park is located at the intersection of Railroad and Stone Streets in Osceola Mills.

The Osceola Mills Community Picnic will be held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Osceola Mills.

The Moshannon Creek Watershed Festival will include environmental displays, information about the activities and recently completed projects of the Moshannon Creek Watershed Coalition, an exhibit by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, and water-related activities such as macroinvertebrate identification and water testing.

Two bands, Generation Z and the Randy Clark Band from Clearfield, will provide the entertainment for the afternoon.

Other activities will include swimming at the Clear-Centre Pool, and admission to the pool will be free for the afternoon. The Wagon Train is scheduled to stop at the Park during the afternoon, weather permitting. Games and prizes are also planned.

Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy a variety of foods for sale from local vendors.

Admission and activities are free. Please bring your lawn chair and come and enjoy a Sunday afternoon of music and community fellowship.
