Annual Toy Run a Success

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Sons of the American Legion and the Clearfield Cycle Club held their Sixth Annual Toy Run on July 25 and according to event organizers it was a huge success.

According to Perry Behling their mission is for this to get bigger and better every year and it has. Joe Gordon reported that they had 154 participants and raised over $5500. All proceeds will be used to purchase new toys that will be delivered to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. Items will be distributed to all floors by the Child Life Department at the hospital.

Both groups would like to sincerely thank all of the participants and also those who donated to this cause. Without the faithful participants and very supportive community this would not be possible. Both groups look forward to watching this event continue to grow.

Next year’s toy run will be held July 24.
