Texas Man Accused of Indecent Assault Waives Hearing

CLEARFIELD – A Texas man accused of having inappropriate contact with a minor waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Guadalupe Estrada Sr. is charged with two counts of indecent assault and person not to possess firearms.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 19 around 1:23 p.m., police received a complaint regarding an incident of indecent sexual assault involving an 11-year-old.

Police responded to the Red Carpet Inn. There, they spoke to the legal guardian of the 11-year-old girl. Police learned that around 1:30 a.m. the girl was in Estrada’s room where Estrada reportedly fondled her breast and bottom.

Police also learned that Estrada had concealed in a drawer. Police secured the weapon and placed it into evidence.

Police talked to Estrada, who admitted that the girl was in his bed under the covers. He told police that he remembered hugging the girl, but that he fell asleep and does not remember anything else that occurred.

Estrada is in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
