Redden to Resign from Lawrence Township Board of Supervisors

CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Board of Supervisors are searching for an additional member.

This announcement came after Supervisor Fred Redden announced his resignation, effective Aug. 18.

“A lot has happened over the last seven months,” said Redden, who was recently appointed as Clearfield Area Middle School Principal.

Redden said that it would be in his best interest, as well as the township’s, if he resigned from his township supervisor position.

“You’ve been a good member of the board,” said Supervisor Chairman Bill Lawhead. “A very good member.”

The supervisors voted to accept his resignation then approved advertising to fill the vacant position. Interested candidates should have letters to the supervisors no later then Aug. 6 at 4 p.m.
