Local Sunday School Class Contributes to Special Oven for Meals on Wheels

CLEARFIELD – St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Sunday School, under the direction of Superintendent Denise Coons, recently presented the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. with a $250 check. The Sunday school class sold Southside Sub Coupons and then donated all the proceeds to the CCAAA, Inc.’s Meals on Wheels & More program.

The money will be used to help fund the purchase of a new Hot-Tot. This specially designed oven, which is installed in the delivery van, ensures that no matter how far the distance, a recipient’s meal will be hot. On average, the CCAAA, Inc. serves nearly 170,000 meals to more than 1,000 consumers throughout Clearfield County each year.
