CLEARFIELD – The sound of marches, Broadway, jazz, country and patriotic music will fill the air at the CAST Building on July 21, when the Clearfield Community Band presents their annual CAST summer concert. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
The Clearfield Community Band is made up of men and women of all ages from all over the area who get together simply because of their love of good music. They present concerts throughout the area and their shows are always free.
This group offers an escape from the pressures and problems of today’s world. The audience can sit back, hum along to the music, clap their hands and tap their toes. It’s an informal evening with the musicians and conductor having a good time on stage telling a few jokes and having a good time right along with the audience.
“The Clearfield Community Band is made up of such talented musicians and each summer we look forward to having them here,” said CAST Executive Director Ruth Loffredi. “They play the kind of music people love to hear. People need to come out and show their support for this group who give so much. A free concert of wonderful music in a comfortable setting. What a bargain!”
The CAST Building, the areas cultural arts center, is located at 112 E. Locust Street in downtown Clearfield. CAST is air conditioned. For more information on CAST, visit their Web site.
